Carbonized Cork Granules
Carbonized Cork Granules are finely milled fragments of carbonized cork designed for creating functional, naturalistic enclosure backgrounds for reptiles, amphibians, and bioactive vivariums. Their textured surface promotes climbing behavior and environmental enrichment while the dark, organic appearance integrates seamlessly into tropical and forest-style habitats. Unlike bulky foam backgrounds, Carbonized Cork Granules allow for highly detailed background construction without significantly reducing usable enclosure space, making them especially valuable in smaller arboreal setups.
To apply, coat the desired area with Silicone 1, distribute the granules evenly across the surface, press firmly into place, and allow to fully cure. They can also be used alongside our Carbonized Cork Chunks to create layered backgrounds with additional texture and visual depth. For enclosure detailing and touch-ups, simply apply super glue to exposed foam, branch attachment points, or visible hardscape seams and press the granules into place for a cohesive natural finish. Ideal for creating climbable, humidity-friendly surfaces in bioactive reptile and amphibian enclosures.
